National Share the Experience (NSTE), a biennial summit, provides a national forum for Respecting Choices® stakeholders to share their Respecting Choices advance care planning (ACP) implementation experiences and to gain a deeper understanding of the critical need for healthcare transformation to ensure person-centered care—care that honors an individual’s goals and values for future healthcare.
The event provides individuals who have found solutions to improving person-centered care, using the Respecting Choices model, a venue to share their learning with others. Many great stories are shared giving attendees ample opportunities to learn from a wide variety of groups and individuals who have implemented the Respecting Choices model.
The Summit brings together ACP leaders and experts from state and community initiatives, ACP coalitions, ACOs, and a variety of healthcare organizations to collaborate and exchange ideas and strategies focused on bridging the BIG gap between what people want based on their state of health versus what they receive in terms of advanced illness and end-of-life care.
